Saudi Arabia and Qatar have signed an agreement to buy six SUVs, the latest of several sales to help ease the financial strain of the Saudi-led economic blockade.
Saudi Arabian state news agency SPA quoted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as saying that the deal with Qatari partners will be finalized in March 2019.
The news comes amid growing concern about a slowdown in global demand and economic instability.
The announcement was also welcomed by the United Arab Emirates, a key regional ally of Saudi Arabia.
Qatar is also a signatory to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ regional climate accord, which is under review. Reuters
